Whoo hoo I learned how to wrap!!!!

Doo do da dooo!!!!!!!!!

Introducing the first ever originally crafted Mandy original wrapped stone necklace!

I’m so excited I’ve wanted to learn how to make these for years and I finally figured it out?

I think it looks awesome with the ribbon but I think it would be easier with hemp.  I’m going to keep at it, but I was so happy to find a use for that piece of purple fluorite I’ve had for years.
There's a bracelet to match.  This pair isn't for sale but you will be seeing simliar items for sale soon at my ETSY shop.

Come on down to ETSY

I've been spending a lot of time lately trying to get my little ETSY shop off the ground.  This is where I intend to sell my bracelets and eventually my soap.  I've put up quite a few listings over the last several days.  Here's a link to my shop and a preview of a few of the listings:

I've made quite a few sales, but none at my shop so I'm looking for a little help.  http://www.etsy.com/shop/Amandajjhall

Say it isn't soap......

My friend's birthday is this weekend and I wanted to make her something special.  Being that I am the craft lady I decided to make her a soap flower arrangement.  I went with small and large roses.  I was pretty happy with the results.  I think I will be adding a section for soap flower arrangements to my ETSY shop in the near future. So without further day:

Soap Flowers!

10 Rose Arrangement
Yellow Roses Fragrance- Lemongrass & Ginger
Lilac Roses Fragrance- Plumeria & Vanilla
Pink Roses Fragrance- Rose & Ylang Ylang
Purple Roses Fragrance- Lavender & Bergamot
Bath salt vase filler- Tangerine Bergamot & Palmrosa

Large Pink Rose Close Up

Large Purple Rose Close Up

Small Rose Close Up

I figure soap roses last longer and have more that one purpose.  I hope she likes them.  Leave me a comment and let me know your opinion.

Lavender Heart Soap Tutorial

You will need:
· 24oz white melt and pour soap base
· Lavender Essential Oil
· Vanilla Soap Fragrance
· 2 oz Lavender Soap buds
· Purple Soap Dye
· Heart Soap Mold

All of these ingredients can be found at your local Michael’s, Joann’s or Hobby Lobby.

You will also need a glass bowl to melt the soap in and a microwave to melt the soap.  A kitchen knife to cut the soap with.  I use a metal spoon to stir with and a bamboo stick to stir with once I add color and fragrance.   This particular mold is a silicone baking pan I purchased from Target.   The bars are about 3oz.
Cut the soap into 1 oz squares and put into microwave safe bowl.
Microwave 1 min at a time stirring after each minute until completely melted.
Now it’s time to add the fragrance, lavender and color.  Make sure you are using Soap Dye and not food coloring as food coloring will stain your hands and body. And it will run.
Add 30 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
15 Drops Vanilla Fragrance
2 oz lavender buds
20 drops purple soap dye (add more until you get the color you want)

Stir until blended then pour into molds, allow to set until hard

Once the soap has fully cured remove from mold

Now all that’s left to do is package and enjoy.  I like to use the little cellophane treat bags that  you can also get at your local craft store.

Enjoy the soap, Happy Valentines Day!

Bracelet Madness comming soon to an Etsy near you

It's decided I'm putting up an Etsy shop, I've said this before but this time I mean it.  It seems pointless to be so into crafting and not into selling said crafts.  So with that in mind I'm thinking about a price poin of $3.50 per bracelet which includes usps regular mail shipping.

Let the craftiness begin

Ribbon Bracelets
I had this idea a while ago, but it took until now for me to get the motivation to move ahead with them.  I used my hemp knot skills with beads and ribbon and came up with this result

They're a work in progress so stay tuned, but I like what I've got so far.  The left is a bracelet and the right is an anklet.
